5/6 is the day!

If you haven't heard "The Shops" @ Target depute May 6th & I CAN'T WAIT!
Why?
Well, because they are the cutest 5 boutiques in the country (according to Target). I love shops, I love the small uniqueness they offer AND that is why I am super excited for the boutique style to come to Target. I am counting down the days to see what the collection will be!
Read this article to know more about this shop business for Target.
Check out Target online if your local store doesn't have the collection.
Just a few of the things to look forward to:

FYI the shop collections only last SIX WEEKS! So if you like it get it,
don't make the mistake I did when Liberty of London for Target sold out in about 2.5 seconds.

Nike Running Clubbers.

We were Nike running club goers, it was super fun to run with people on a sunny Saturday morning. After the run Nike provided breakfast, yummers! There were free t-shirts and tickets to the Olympic Trials given away (didn't win, I am the least luckiest person ever, just in case you were wondering). We had a lot of fun- in fact I am thinking of becoming a runner (I WISH) perhaps, BUT first I have to get the new Nike Free- THEY ARE SO CUTE!
All the calories burned went to this:
New renovations & all NEW gear, seriously upset there was no SALE rack,
I survive on the sale rack!!!!
Oregon part of the store was pretty sweet!
 Mustache runners all the way...
Loving the new Free, so cute & the cute commercial help too!
So there was this guy taking Polaroids AND now I want to buy a Polaroid camera at Target.
Well that's all runners!
The week is half way over HURRAY!
See, CUTE?

Girls Play Football.

Football for WOMEN!!! My bestie and I went to the U of O Football clinic. It was interesting!
The event was catered by Outback, can you say MEAT!?
I felt like a guy drinking this stuff:
I asked Chip if he was single and ready to mingle!
Catching the ball at 15 mph. on the jugs machine, pretty scary.
Pretty much friends  stalkers with the entire team, haha
Learning some complex things about the game, things we never even knew about!
The facilities are amazing AND finally got to see inside!
 I wanted a membership...if there was such a thing.
How hot are we ha after our 14 football sessions with all the duck football coaches, we basically got recruited because we were so amazing.

Target of my heart.

How great is Target right now?
The home section is gaining some serious style.
How cute are these beach towels?
Loved the party supplies. Way cute for any party.
Whenever I walk to Target something comes over me, they have the cutest stuff. I don't know what it is, but those Target runs are sometimes essential. I am excited about the new lines and new decor they have come out with, I have always been a fan of the designer for Target BUT it's gotten even better!

No Way.

Could this be true???? Or am I dreaming!
My favorite bakery is coming soon, so shocked & so happy. I loved this place in Provo, it was my go-to breakfast spot. All you can eat french toast for $5, do you blame me? On my lunch breaks I would get one of their amazing sandwiches on the homemade bread. This just makes me so hopeful that maybe stuff will start coming to my town, perhaps a Nordstrom? Okay maybe I'm getting carried away.

Prefontaine Classic Internship.

I am so excited that I got an internship with the Pre Classic. It's a huge event in Eugene and brings world class athletes to track town USA. For those who are not track fans, it's one of the premier track and field meets in the United States. Every year it draws a world caliber field to compete at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field in EugeneOregon. (via wikipedia) AND for more info on the event check out runner's space.
My group is in charge of press conference the day before the meet. On the actual day we will be heading up the social media and will be Tweeting away in the media tent. I am going to be the Chief Assistant photographer and working with photographers from Paris and NYC (UM SO EXCITED). I will be working down on the track, getting up close and personal with the athletes. I can't believe I get to work with the media from around the world, this is such an opportunity that I am so grateful for.
At the end of the term I will be putting together a multi-media piece of the event as well as a report with my group on what worked well and what didn't from our plan that I will post.

When your 90.

I hope to look this great!
Iris Apfel is 90 years old, but you would never know.
I hope when I'm 90 I will still get excited about life.
AND still be madly in love, how cute are they?

Now for some 90 year old word of wisdom.
On people who have bad style:
“It’s a free country – if you want to look like a freak, that’s your problem.”

On personal style (prompted by Lindsay Lohan asking Apfel to be her stlyist):
“I can’t tell people how to have style. No amount of money can buy you style. It’s just instinctive. You can’t try to be somebody you’re not; that’s not style. If someone says, ‘Buy this, you’ll be stylish,’ you won’t be stylish because you won’t be you. You have to learn who you are first and that’s painful… I don’t try to intellectualize about it because it tightens you up. I think you have to be loose as a goose.”

“Style is something integral, it’s something that’s you, it’s part of your psyche. You have to study yourself, learn who you are, learn what you really like, what you don’t like, what you’re comfortable with, how you feel, how people react to what you wear, and how much it bothers you if they don’t like it. It’s all of those things. And I think that that requires some hard work that a lot of people don’t wanna do, but if you don’t do that, you can copy somebody else’s style, but it won’t be yours. It ain’t what you do, it’s the way that you do it.
