Symphony.

way back when we decided to have some fun on a thursday night.
friday & saturday nights don't have to be the only fun nights if you don't let them.

we went to the houston symphony (it was billy joel night.)
it was free. it was fun. it was something we have never done.
we got our fav pizza & a our fav blanket for a little picnic action.

so sweaty. there was a tad bit of moisture in the air.

then that weekend we went out with the bro in-law and future sis in-law.
we tried a hot spot on yelp...BRC.
they had bacon jelly for the rolls...yeah it was bomb.

salt water sandals are so bomb. so comfy and go with everything.
you can buy them here or here

on monday we were feeling like a salad by the pool.

pippa kills me everyday. her crooked face is my fav.

we played some golf...hit the range up in a very scary part of town...wild dogs...literally packs of dogs roaming the streets.

then hit up torchy's for some tacos.
best tacos in h-town.

the end.

Blackfish.

the other night we were eating at our ex-neighbors (yup, they moved. only .03 miles away, BUT still not next door anymore) anyways after dinner we were watching some shark week.
they told us about a documentary BLACKFISH.
a few days later we were bored (gosh i'm hating summer tv, nothing good is on...ugh SCANDAL come back on asap) so we decided to turn on some Netflix and watch that documentary
holy emotional. pulled at your heartstrings.
okay i totally cried...even days later andrew still makes fun of me... and says how i'm a softy mama bear...whatever that means. but when you watch it please don't tell me you don't get at least a little teary when the babies are taken from their mommies. gut-wrenching.
(don't watch it when your pmsing...holy waterfalls.)

so with all documentaries ya gotta know they are one sided. obviously. so here is another interview from another former trainer who has a different view on sea world.

Sibling Reunion Part 2.

so my part 1 of our sibling reunion is found here
one morning we went to off the waffle.
always on the EUG foodie list.
so bomb.
i don't think there is waffle place in H-town..??
i think..hmmm prob should do some research on that one.

levi
aka lee lee.
that's what i call him.
ya know "lee lee you forgot your bling bling?!" what movie?
paige is quiet but a little sweetheart. little thumb sucker.

really hope this baby comes to TX this month (hint, hint)
i think i took like 157 photos of ruby over the 14 days in OR.
can you blame me? picture perfect cheeks.

the sunsets are unreal. purple mountains.
the moon between the trees. (while playing badminton)

for jenny's birthday we had a birthday lunch at papa's pizza.
then we had a princess party.
got a cake from PC Market my very fav grocery store.
dying without it.

the crying princess.

okay i promise that's the end of reunions, oregon, family.
i took way so many pics so i didn't want to have a 500 pic blog post.
we had so much fun enjoying perfect weather. eating missed food. and of course hanging out with cool people.

Portlandia.

ya know how i extended my trip a couple days, well i got a night/day in portland.
i have been to portland to shop or weddings, BUT never explored neighborhoods.
how cute is portland? bomb food, local everything, and greeeeeen.
def wouldn't mind living there at some point in my life (i'm saying that after visiting during the best time of the year not during the week after weeks of rain and grey, BUT trying not to think about that part)

the flavors.
i sampled like prob 4...but wanted to sample them all.
honestly all amazing.
best ice creme ever. andrew says NO FENTONS i say no that's the best sundae BUT the best stand alone ice cream goes to salt&straw. and best t-shirt...
i got the snickerdoodle and the almond brittle...still dreaming of the chunks of ganache.

they are obsessed just like us. how can you not be?
you pippa and stella are sisters...
stella slept the whole night with me...maybe cause she could smell her sister on all my clothes...
aw tender.

last brunch. at another amazing place in portland. seriously those croissant were to die for.
thanks aly&nick for taking me in for the night ;) & introducing my to all the bombness of portland. i'll love you forever if you can magically find us jobs so we can have charm back in our lives once again.
houston lacks charm, weird right? well it does.
it's just one large spread of highway 99 or west 11th...really can't describe it.
no place like it.

for all those fellow breaking bad watchers (we binged hard core on breaking bad when we lived in palm springs, little bored)...how funny is this gift shop?. only in Albuquerque.
i will say from the gift shops i wouldn't mind a trip to sante fe looks kinda great.

after waiting and waiting. ugh i hate delayed flights, especially in new mexico. i did get a little souvenir though. dream catcher for the guest room...kinda into them right now.
after waiting and hating life (even a #selfie in the bathroom happened...def evidence of hating life) i SO HAPPILY boarded the empty plane! can i get a thumbs for sitting by NO ONE! praise. BUT the flight was so flipping cold i really needed my fur coat.

she likes it. she just has a hard time showing it.

i picked up this little prez for my fav girl (at target) gotta love no sales tax.
I LOVE this mint color or whatever you want to call it.

right back with my puppy.
