how great was the oscars???

ellen was amazingly funny.
we found ourselves rewinding it to get every word in.
she's my fav.
her epic selfie and the pizza was just a crack up.

the selfie that crashed twitter.

we had ourselves a little celebration starting at 2pm...red carpet live...red carpet everything.

we ate. laughed. and critiqued.

i would like to say i beat andrew on this years ballot. (by a lot but we won't talk about that)

he wasn't to happy.

i hate to say that my term in cinematography really paid off...lol beating andrew in some sort of competition was so much fun. (is that bad that i find it fun beating my husband? whoops)

andrew whipped up his famous cake. and i topped it with gold glitter (edible)

so at trader joes they have chocolate potato chips...however they are pricey...you get like 4 for $4 not really, but i'm not too off.

anyways for a budget friendly alternative i dipped some chips myself.

they were so yummy & i'm totally going to pull "my mom" on this one and say "i liked mine better"

sorry trader joes.

pippa wasn't impressed with the gowns or the tuxes.

trader joes has these mini chicken pot pies...totes delish. a must trader joes try.

blood oranges are in season so that was a totes must.

i watched them again yesterday.

and i maybe watching fashion police oscar special right now.

so on my actual birthday mr. took me out for an acai bowl (my new fav thing) and hit the nail salon up. i've been getting acrylic with gel polish...
i decided with the move and everything i needed to get them off!

mr. got me a picnic basket so for lunch we headed to the orchard with our basket in hand.

for dinner we made a big mistake and went to flemings.
they should call it cash burner.
i mean really though.
we were literally laughing at how little food we got for how much it cost.

we headed home.
stopped by target for a last minute birthday gift...Devil's Wear Prada
i have been craving to watch this movie.
one of my favs. such a classic.
"that's all."

okay AND mr. made...literally made the whole cake without my help.
he was SO into it.
i had to capture his intensity.
so when he wasn't looking i tried smoothing the frosting.
bad idea.
he ran over and said "NO, i like the character."

that being said i liked it too and will cherish my character birthday cake forever.

okay i forgot one good thing that came from our 1 ounce steak at flemings...birthday truffles AND a $25 gift card to our next visit (when we win the lottery)

i saw my first fine line in between my eye brows (you know when you squint your brows frown well apparently i do that a lot because i have a line there) no joke. i'm sorta freaking out and now investing in some anti-aging products...

i guess i'm at the age where i should be?
