Portland Afternoon.

In between the wedding and the reception we decided to make the most of  being in Portland!! Plus Mary&Jess had never been...so before we headed downtown we stopped by Stanford's for some nourishment. OMG I had forgotten how delish the mac&cheese was. Mary and I split the mac and the burger. best decision ever. I want to relive that lunch.

Then we got ourselves to Powell's Book Store because its cool and very Portland.

On our way home from Downtown we stopped by Bridgeport to get some paradise cookies for the trip home to Eugene. I MISS THOSE COOKIES. why, oh why, can't there be one in this desert.

                                                                                                                             

Portland Job.

I had work in Portland, so we made the weekend out of it...

 I got my hotel room paid for thanks to the generous groom, 

I brought Andrew along for some Marriott fun. 

We went to Stanford's restaurant (our fav) got some DELISH fajitas, which look very blurry, sorry. THEN we cached a flic, ARGO, which was a total nail-bitter, def recommend it. 

Then hit the hot tub to end the night. 

THEN woke up ate up at the complimentary breakfast (thanks Marriott).

THEN raced to the airport and headed to Utah. 

 So the bride's wedding location was at this lodge, you can rent it out for events and vacations...so I couldn't help but think this would be the perfect place for WHIPPLE REUNION 2013??? it has so many bedrooms and 4 ovens, industrial style fridge and freezer...finally a place that can fit us all!! 

Oh and did I mention heated pool too! so that helps!

 It was beautiful countryside views from every direction. I was in love. 

Playing with makeup is so fun and glad I can call it work. 

Zoology.

I had to go to Portland for a Mac Pro artist class so we decided to make the most of the trip and went to the zoo. Portland Zoo is really great! I'm telling you it's up there as far as zoos go. 

If you haven't gone and your in Portland check it out! 

 I love kids at Zoos, the way they look at the animals, the way they wave and smile. 

 Paws are cute, small or large.

Back to our school bus days, did you know we went to elementary school together? good times. 

Our first Flash Mob experience in downtown Portland, really cool and weird at the same time. 

Speaking of first experiences...it was Andrew's first time eating at Stepping Stone, he ordered the pancakes I got the biscuits and gravy, which was a mistake cause the portions are HUGE. 

I guess I forgot how HUMUNGO they are. 

Now, for the real reason I went to Portland, MAC COSMETICS class. I love continuing education classes, cause let me tell you beauty school doesn't teach ya much or maybe it's just cause they teach you the wrong way, like layers for example, or thinning, or makeup. it's all about experience! 

Once your out in the real world you learn so much more. 

Anyways let's just say I am grateful for youtube and Mac. 

I went home with some goodies! 

It's always fun to get new makeup, I don't know why. I buy it hoping it will be THE MIRACLE product, it never is, but it gets me closer then with nothing. 

Portland is always great, reminds me of the fact that I NEED to live in a city.
