I have been in my week long Nutrition class! Six hours everyday of lecture. Few things I have picked-up along the way:
Have 3 different COLORS at every meal.
A good diet is balanced and variety.
Choose a variety of food and eat a moderate amount.
Never eat less then 1,200 calories, otherwise you will being doing more harm then good to your body.
30 minutes a day of exercise is for maintenance, but if you want to lose weight 60 minutes is recommended.
Worry about increasing your nutrients, don't worry about the stuff shouldn't eat.
20-35% of total caloric intake should be fat, limiting saturated fats, and eliminating trans fat.
