This Christmas.

hello there,
remember that thing last week?
Christmas?
ring a bell.
I took the last week of blogging off.
Sometimes blogging and be a bit bugging because your constantly having to document every detail for your posts. It's so much easier to blog through pictures because we all know a picture is worth a thousand words, that being said I take a lot of pictures and when I don't it's hard to blog. Anyways sometimes you feel like you have nothing to say BUT there is always something right? I like blogging because it's a better way for me to journal and more convenient then scrap-booking... remember those scrap-happy days? So glad those acid-free tape days are over. Thank goodness for technology. I have been blogging for almost 2 years, I remember friends telling to keep posting and I would always think WHY? no one wants to know about my life cause I have nothing cool to share like all cool chic wifey/mommy bloggers out there in cyberspace. Well friends, I did it. I'm a blogger. It took awhile to get it down, but now I'm enjoying it because I started to treat it as my journal--but that other people read? ha I don't share EVERYTHING, obviously. I don't know how long I will continue or if I will ever set it as private...who knows. As far as 2013 I will continue for another year, even when I feel like I have nothing to say.
WHY am I saying all this, well because I have SOMETHING to SAY today.
okay I'm done.
NOW.
On.
To.
CHRISTMAS!!!!!!
Days leading up to Christmas were spent baking.
I got this card at the Brooklyn craft market. I just love it.
Christmas Eve began with last minute shopping and Starbucks:
Then we had delish dinner or I guess I should call it a feast:

Then after dinner I pulled out my cam to remember these cuties.
Now hold your breathe for some adorable pictures of Cash and Pippa in their santa attire.
Way too cute.
Best Cousins:
Jake struggling with the nieces and nephew.
There are only 4 of them BUT they sure can make the house LOUD.
Loudness is always entertaining though.
Oh I also got my toes done,a  little snowflake never hurt anyone!
For dessert I made lava cakes, mom topped them with ice cream.
Really easy and tasty AND looks pretty fancy for how simple they are to make.
This year we wanted to spice it up titch with a new game/tradition.
I suggested we do "my favorite things" gift exchange,
rather then white elephant or in our case for the past years--no exchange.
Everyone brought their favorite thing for $10.
Then we got mom's journal ornament (every year my mom gets us all an ornament that has to do with something special or highlight that happened that year).
It's always fun to see what she comes up with:
she sewed hair to the gingerbread girl to represet the year I got extensions ...hahaha
I guess that was my highlight of the entire year?
ha oh mom.
p.s. I got my nails done--Christmas-esk...coppied pinterest on this one.
Christmas morning was spent at the in-laws and Christmas evening was spent at my parents...
it's nice that our parents live 5 mins away from each other.
Stan's gift from Christopher...ironic.
Once we were all finished with gifts, Stan said he wanted everyone to come back for one last gift...
I thought hmmmmm family vaca to Hawaii? andrew thought hmmm fam trip to the Fiesta Bowl???
We were all wrong...Diamond ring for Martha!!!
Surprise!
Engaged all over again:
Pippa loved her gifts, her face just has a hard time saying that.
We had delish breakfast, which was devoured at 1pm, yeah def not morning.
I guess we could call it brunch.
Father in-law made some scrambles...with everything in it!
 So bomb.
Okay so Jakie and Pippa aren't friends NOT on Pippa's end. Jakie hates Pippa, bites and barks then entire time, sorda a struggle because Pippa jumps desperately for attention and a friend out of Jake.
Oh well maybe one day they can be friends.
Pippa is always in her play stance while Jake stays in his
"I will never acknowledge you til the day I die."
Then after Christmas morning/afternoon we headed back to our house for "our" Christmas.
Just the three of us:
We kept it simple this year.
I guess getting a puppy isn't THAT simple.
I had to get Mr. this iphone case with his monogram of course, trying to keep in classy.
Pippa of course could smell her stocking a mile away, thanks to those Peanut-Paws.
how do you ya like my new slippers/socks?
Now for round three...
Then we left the wrapping on the floor and went to my parents for Christmas at 5pm.
First time for an evening Christmas.
It was weird.
Different, ya know?
Penny didn't really like her new outfit even though we all thought she looked adorable!!
Presents galor for the kids, wished I was a kid again...when gifts were actually cheap.
Then we finished the night dreaming of a dream at Les Miserables.
Fantastic.
Really loved it.
Well that's all people for our 2012 Christmas...es.
and yes this post took me forever to do, a picture may be worth a thousand words but what if you literally have 1,000 photos from Christmas what does that say?
I hope you all had a yummy and joyful day
or maybe even days of celebrating the most wonderful time of the year.
