California Work-Vacation.

It's been awhile.
I have little motivation to blog,
until I looked back some old post and thought awww and ohhh I better keep photo journaling to remember these moments in life.
That being said here is a belated post.
:)

California work trip turned into a vacation...
according to my iPhone, "real" photos next post.
 Here is how it began:

Day 1: Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills.
I hit up Sprinkles after work on my way out of Beverly Hills to my hotel.
It was right around the corner from Neimans.
 Just had to.

I was exhausted after all the work chaos.
I winded home with a chocolate peanut butter Sprinkles cupcake.

I didn't bring my hair stuff on purpose knowing that I would make time for quick blowout at the Dry Bar. It was only 10 minutes from my hotel, so that was awfully convenient.
Over did it on the hair shots.
Can't get enough of the soft fluffy curls all done with a round brush and blow dryer.
Bam.
Day 2: Fred Segal in Santa Monica and Neiman Marcus in Calabasas.
Ate my breakfast outside, it's a wonderful thing being able to eat BREAKFAST let alone any meal outside in April. Utah needs to take a few pointers from CA weather.
My last day training employees and managers on the PMD at Neiman Marcus in Newport Beach was Friday so after that I drove straight to Arcadia to meet up with the fam. Mr. drove from SLC with my cousin Erica to meet me for a long weekend in LA.
Our matching rental cars, lol

We hit up Whole Foods for a gourmet beach picnic.
The Moores know how to Beach it the right way.
 Self-portraits are always classic sauce.
I see people take selfsies and I think to myself oh dear that's what I look like, note to self don't do selfies, but then sometimes it just has to happen. Sometimes it's a hassel asking some stranger awkwardly to take a photo for you and then what if that doesn't turn out?
then you have to ask another person for round two.
DILEMMA.

Sisterly love. Had to capture these two sweet tenders.
 Long sleeve shirt anyone?

Thanks to U. Mike we hit up the Arclight theater, now movie-going is at a whole new level with the real butter and the extra large seats and the unbelievable sound. WOW-wee think we will never see another movie unless its at the Arclight!
After the movie we tried to find some food trucks, after downloading FIVE "find food truck" apps on our iPhones later we opted for a drive by method. Eventually found ourselves unknowingly at a famous french dip place, come to find out it was on Food network and been around since...
like let's just say 100 year, honestly don't remember but all ya need to know is a long time.

We got lucky and got to go to the happiest place on earth and California Adventure
...FOR FREE I might add!

I straight up took 640 photos at Disney.
More non-iPhone photos to come.
We really wanted to try out the Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo salon.
There were only 5 yr. olds in there so we opted out of that one.
My goofy, Parkie of a Husband.
He is CRACK UP at Disneyland.
loving life anyone?
Wow does he LOVE life at Disney.
Speed walking, which is running for me, to every single ride.
I had to have a "talk" with him to settle him down.

The next day we were in a Disney Hangover, exhausted from walking nearly a half-marathon, thanks to Erica's step calculator we were informed of our single one of our 21,000 steps. Boo-YA! Never felt guilty for one second about our caramel apple, peanut brittle, churro, ice cream.

We had our Disney Hangover brunch at a place in Pasadena.
So I obviously felt guilty for my eating habits at Disney the day before because I paid the extra $1.00 for the egg white omelet.

Obviously had to get some macaroons, ugh these are my weakness financially and sweetly.
Did you know that LAX now as Lemonade restaurant at the Delta gates!
Um, yeah I was excited.
Been meaning try that place ever since I got te recommendation last summer to go there for lunch!

So as you can see, my business trip ended with a vacation. California surely is a
"different way of living".
Quote of the trip.

  1. Looks like a lovely time! I am going to CA next month. I just might have to try the Dry Bar. Oh how did you score free Disneyland tix? Lucky!

  2. I never thought that work travel can be this fun! I can say that it's a good thing you didn't bring your hair tools in this travel because you look great with your curls. It's truly an advantage when you have everything you need in a hotel, or at least in shops near the place you stay in. I just hope you'll have more vacation fun like this.
