Moving In.

i spend my days unpacking while mr. hits the office. the job search is on once again for me, but i'm grateful i have the time to get our house put together. mr. is a big shot commercial account executive for Leslie's Pool Supply. which means he takes care of all the commercial accounts (aka hotels, country clubs, resorts accounts) in the Palm Springs to Yuma, AZ region, as well as oversees 10 retail stores making sure they hit those numbers. he loves it, which makes me so happy and such a relief.

its been a week since we unloaded our uhaul. after living out of our cars and hotels for a month, i'm so happy to have a place to call home. why didn't we have a place sooner? well we got to CA May 3rd because mr. started the 6th so we stayed in my rachel&crocketts timeshare while we house hunted, it took longer then we thought so our resort living was extended. 2 weeks later we found a place and it wasn't ready to move into until June 1st which worked out perfect seeing as we had to be in san diego for a week and then a week in UT to get our stuff and for conner's wedding and wouldn't be able to be  back to the desert until June 3rd. there ya go, an official month of craziness.

as i unpack i'm reminded how perfect this house is for us. pippa is obsessed with our backyard. citrus trees and all. i can't wait to tackle the patio and make ourself a little outdoor living space. DIY pinterest board here i come.
our resort for weeks 1-2.

pippa was very curious with what was on my face. a mask. ya know one that makes your face pretty.

Huntington's Library was a piece of art. so many sites to see.
3rd week:
We spent the last week of May in San Diego for Andrew's training. We stayed in a hotel that didn't allow dogs, I thought I could sneak Pippa in BUT got a phone call aka we search all day for place for her to stay. BUGGIN.
it had been three years since we have been back to San Diego. this trip reminded me once again how perfect that place is. perfect weather. perfect beaches. perfect food. perfect. perfect. perfect. it's times like those you ask yourself ONE day we will ever be able to call this amazing place home. for now it will be our getaway place. ONLY two hours from the desert.

we did the whole OLD TOWN thing. ate tacos on TACO TUESDAY. we went to hotel del coronaldo TWO times. ate at many food network hot spots as possible. la jolla. temple. ocean beach. seaport village. gaslamp district. sunset cliffs. we tried to fit in the free stuff. zoo and sea world had to be put on hold until next time. goodness i love that city.
three years ago Aly took our "pre-engagement" shoot right here on this cliff. had to reminisce on that summer.
if you ever go downtown san diego, you GOT to try this amazing gelato place. best i have evvvvver had. yeah, i know that's a statement.

here is la jolla cliffs were beautiful.
Phil's BBQ, bomb.com
no joke ribs.
they take ribs seriously at Phils.
i mean they give you an "adult bib"
finally got to go inside this castle aka the San Diego LDS Temple. beautiful. beautiful. i always dreamed of getting married in this temple. yeah that didn't happen. portland temple is similar though? sorda?
okay, let's talk Tender Greens. i stumbled uppon this hot lunch spot when i was at the mall in la jolla. it was really packed, so i thought, hmmmm this place must be good. boy, oh boy! was it! seriously delish. fresh, organic, unique. best gluten free cookie i have had.
we were completely struggin with our self-portraits. thankfully someone felt bad for us and offered to snap one for us. thank you random european.

okay so this was SUPPOSE to be a chic, floppy hat. which turned into a sombrero.

go to Hodads in Ocean Beach. um, yeah. just do it and get the Guy Fieri burger.
well that's it. moving-in continues and never seems to end. honestly i'm A-okay with it. i like organizing and putting things together. is that weird?
