so we are packing up...once again.
i had never been to Texas...so a couple weeks ago we booked a flight to visit our future state and of course find a place to live (minor detail).
i don't know what i expected.
i really don't.
i was surprised.
i guess i didn't picture it soooooooo spread out.
or soooooooo flat.
or people holding shot guns while driving.

it's going to be different.
i wasn't SUPER excited BUT i am now.
(i wasn't at first because i had the flu while we were there and hadn't been home in 3 weeks so my judgement was a little off & i was sad because i finally got a job & finally got settled & made great friends and then BAMMM we are moving....
riiiiiiiiiight when everything was coming together for us in CA )
that would be chicken & waffles. ^^
jalapeƱo cornbread pancakes and fried chicken with maple syrup.
holy southern.
we house hunted for a week.
we left thinking we got our #1 place.
we didn't get it.
we freaked out because we were home empty handed.
no place. homeless.
luckily a place we wanted but got taken was now available our #2 choice.
we got it.
now we have an address. and a move in date.
yahoo!!!
the food. the food. the food.
go texas if you want foooooood.
when your a foodie you really appreciate a city full of food.
i tried ribbon ice for the first time. it was a mix of ice cream / ice.
i got the taro with mango!
oh and mr. loves his cici's pizza.... $5 all you can eat gets him every time. cheap, but it does the job.
texas pride???!!! what your thoughts about all the texans who are obsessssssed with their state.
i've found some pretty priceless "texas pride" pictures via pinterest.
i won't judge those who LOVE texas...yet...
i will have to see for myself if it's what people make it out to be.
is really allllll that??!
we welcome our BIG state with open arms...
