White Linen Nights.

i asked my client what she her plans were that night and she said white linen nights in the heights...i was like wait what is this?
she said everyone wears white and there are tents of art and food.
i was ummm okay i gotta go...what time!?

after finishing work... andrew comes home from the gym & i'm like get dressed we are going somewhere....he was like ughhhh what i have to wear white, what is this?
BUT to his surprise he loved it. (sometimes i'm right about some things)

once we walk 50 thousand blocks we saw people popping up wearing white. on our walk we loved every house we saw (wouldn't it be great to live in the heights?). once we got to 19th st. there was a flood of people all wearing white...linen...creme...it was so southern. a chic block party. white linen nights started in new orleans. a formal resident of NOLA moved to houston and started in the heights to bring more business for the local artist.

there were no food trucks like we had hoped for.
so that was bummer, BUT not so bad cause i got my favorite fish tacos from a really cool restaurant in the heights. those plantains though...omg so yummmmm.

my fav app

have you ever had shrimp & grits?
well we can now say we have!
it's on so many menus in TX.
when i went to NOLA i tried grits BUT they were just plain aka nastyyyy.
when you had in all the buttttter and cheeeese grits ain't bad.

until next year...(note to next year self...eat before, park closer, bring a water bottle)
