Dallas

we went to dallas during the famous texas state fair.
the weather was perfect.
it felt like CA.
we laid by the pool. ate. and saw the sites.

we are big fans of the weekend getaway thing.
sometimes you just need to see something new.
do something you've never done.
eat something you've never tasted.
ya know!
do you ever get that itch?
i do all. the. time.
it's kinda of a problemo.

funny story.
this shot got me that free roll you see there above these words.
the baker thought i was a foodie blogger. cause i was all into food pictures.
i felt kinda bad accepting it because i do blog BUT i'm not a "blogger"
it is my dream to be a foodie blogger...so i decided to accept the roll and just "live the dream" of eating for free.

this is a jalapeno bacon waffle with fried chicken and of course topped with gravy and maple syrup.

after breakfast we burned some cals and walked around the arboretum to see the fall exhibit.
omg it was fall heaven minus the bloody hot heat that we weren't expecting.
the pumpkins lined the sidewalks.
it was so picturesque.
highly recommend going!
now i really want to go for the christmas exhibit.

the memorial was not as "grand" as i thought it would be.

so we loved our modern hotel.
great find on priceline...only $80 a night.

this book was a perf read before starting my new job.
loved it.
highly recommend.
everyone should read it even a #boyboss

we stopped by a garden place that had pumpkins for a lot cheaper then the arboretum.

come to find out this burger joint was on triple D.

i still dream about this shake.
we got a free one (we were just going to share the s'mores one BUT then when they offered we were like okay let's try the cookie dough, brownie one to!) because they forgot our order (it happens a lot to us)

whoa. long post with lots of pics.
overall conclusion:
dallas is prob better then houston (i know that i've only been there once...but my first impression to dallas was way better then my first impression of houston).
i think it's a good in between of austin and houston. maybe a perf combo?
