just like everything in texas.
texas people over exaggerate things. they make things seem SOOOOO BIG. SO GREAT. SO GOOD!
when in reality it fine. it's a fair. it's not disneyland for goodness gracious.
it was the best state fair. i've actually never been to a state fair so really i have nothing to compare it to.
the fried food was cool and crazy. the animals were cute. the parade was awesome.
BUT everything was expensive.
the fried coke was nasty and they woulnd't let us exchange it.
this is the fried coke... |
i'm glad we did it.
it's one of those texas things i want to do.
i don't know how long we will be here, so i figure we gotta do it all this first year just in case we leave sooner then planned.
because there were a ton of things i wanted to do in palm springs that we never did because we thought we had all the time in the world do it later.
my advise do it all right when you get there so you have things to discuss with your fellow texans/you know what they are talking about. also when people come to visit, you know exactly what to recommend.
after seeing the sky high prices for crap food at the fair we decided to wait and just eat after at a yelp hot spot. this place was packed. it 10pm. there was a line out the door at 10pm for a reason.
bomb.com tacos.
