Easter.

We had our first Texas Easter. people celebrate it here.
places are closed on easter.
school is closed on Good Friday.
we never got school off for easter...thanks to those liberals.

we taught our sunday school class, with some new ground rules...thanks to our bullet proof tips from the brother in-law. worked like a charm.
the good ol' technique "all eyes up hear...i'm waiting, ohhhhh looks like we are waiting for one last person" there is always that one kid that keeps talkkkkkking. the gutsy one who tries to tempt the rath of lauren. it's like okay come on you're 11 years old.
andrew always laughs when i get THAT face & THAT voice.
he says i will be the bad cop when kids come & i'll be the one to discipline.
i'm sorry i have no patience.
anyways enough about parenting (i guess i'm thinking about it cause i'm currently binge watching Parenthood on netflix.

we had an Easter miracle...i woke up BEFORE my 8am alarm.
gosh dang it, why does 9am have to be so hard / have to exist?

another miracle. i only had to threaten one kid in our sunday school class.
bravo.

so our day was spent going over the top with a doggie easter basket.
i was shopping for more toys & i thought what the hay, i'll throw them into a 99 cent basket.
so glad i did cause these pics are pretty freakin cute.

it's actually sad / funny how pippa's basket is bigger and has more stuff in it.
but the truth is MR. isn't into the whole Easter basket thing.
he LOVES two things: starburst jelly beans & reese's eggs.
so that is exactly what i got him.
however, pippa was a HUGE fan. homegirl has been literally going cray cray with her toys.

what's the world coming too.
the day your dog' gets a basket
&
then the day THAT basket is larger than your husbands
who knew scotchies can be an Easter treat too!!

we went to amy's house for dinner, who is my 2nd cousin (our grandma's were cousins that married brothers so they turned into sister in-laws aka amy is my dad's cousin's daughter, it was a genealogy moment for Mr. right when he thought the whipple family couldn't get any larger...it. just. did.)

i'm soooooo bad i didn't bring my camera / didn't even take at least one iphone pic.
when you get together with amy there is so much fam stuff  to talk about  / stories to hear you kinda forget about pictures. next time, next time.

the "how to pose" moment

now for a couple snap chats to end this post.
pippa LOVES her duck.
literally obsessed.
i never got her toys before because when she was a puppy she never wanted to play with them.
she liked chewing on anything and everything BUT her toys.
BUT now i think she has had a changed of heart.
