naturally a lavender shop opened up in my kitchen one morning.
my original plan was to make just soap.
but then it got fun & easy. so i started to explore a few more lavender recipes.
i made bath bombs, soap balls, & this other coconut oil mixture thing...we'll call it lavender squares.
so easy. you guys so easy.
fun activity to do with your friends, your kids, or in my case by yourself.
i turned on the food network for some background noise and went to work.
okay side-note...i LOVE barefoot contessa. i want to be her. i want her house & her skills & to have her soft voice. i have a loud voice, but i want a soft voice. a voice where people want to listen to you.

because these diy lavender soap party (by myself) was so fun i'm going to explore with some lavender salt & sugar scrubs!
i decided to venture out and add a little oatmeal to some of my soaps.
a little oatmeal never hurt anyone.
it was a little odd grading soap.
it looked like cheese.
it was weird & fun.
going a little mixin. coconut oil with shea butter. |
oh and you have to make the caramel syrup to get the full effect.
it's a total fatty breakfast BUT it takes me back to my UT days.
gosh i miss lunch places...there are no TX lunch cafes...you know what i'm talking about...no zupas, no hawaiian time, no kneaders, no cafe rio, none of those type places in TX...and i don't like counting panera bread. sorry.
pippa just stared at us the whole time while we ate our scrumptious breakfast.
putting my very own milk glass to use! told ya it would be worth $5. |
the caramel syrup was so flippin hot i thought it was going to break the glass.
mr. picked up a mitt to pour his syrup... it made me laugh.
every time you eat ANYTHING.
pippa gives us that face.
you know that face?
that face that's so desperate & CUTE.
i always get suckered into giving her a little bite.
andrew says i give in way to easily.
she just gets you every time.
every. single. time.
BECAUSE
she was born with a "sad face"
in the end those puppy dog eyes won the bacon over.
Aaghghghghg I wish we lived nearby! I would have totally come over & we could have had a soap making party. Someday? Someday.
ReplyDeleteyes someday. one day. we will LIVE next door. just got to get andre & benny on board.
