The Lauren Style: Goodbye 2013.

2013 has been cray cray.
really though...it's been crazy.
and it's not stopping...some new news to come.

last christmas seems like a million years ago.
just can't believe all that's happened in 2013.

now for the annual "year in review" post

let's start here:
**in january i turned 24.

**in February i got a job and we moved to Salt Lake City.

**pippa learned to shake.

**i worked my first "real"9-5 job out of college doing marketing, google analytics, SEO, lots and lots of editing and managing the youtube accounts.

**my niece evelyn was born

**we had our 2nd anniversary! it was funny...according this photo.

**pippa continued to fill our life with kisses

**for the first time ever...we hit the Utah slopes in Park City.

**i went on my first business trip...

** after working in newport i decided mr. should join me. we had a warm break from the still freezing in spring SLC. seriously it still snows in MAY cause on my last day of work at PMD on May 3rd it snowed. i looked at my window @ 10am and it was snowing, i thought wow i need to get out of here/go back to CA. and the funny thing was i got my wish. three days later we moved to CA.

**mr. got a job with Leslie's the same week i got let go from my job. miracle. it's weird/amazingly cool how God has a plan for us and really out for us and our needs. if mr. hadn't gotten that job and i lost my job what would we have done? we think about that a lot. i was the one working and paying the bills. and if you only have one person working then your basically screwed when that one person unexpectedly loses the only source of income. it was such a blessing to my job. it was our way out of eugene and some cray cray stuff that happened shortly after we left that we feel so blessed i got my job when we i did so we could avoid all that stuff.

then when i lost my job we were once again blessed that mr. got his job when he did and where he did.

sometimes things happen. sometimes not the way you planned, but sometimes that way is the happier way.

we packed up our two cars and lived at a resort, just until we could move into our new place.

**during that time i got to join mr. on a work/training trip in San Diego.

**we went back to SLC for my cousin's wedding & to move the rest of our stuff we left behind that didn't fit in our cars... like ya know important stuff...bed, couch, desk, tv...

**2nd move of the year.

**then i started to go a little crazy.

**then we got settled in our new place and called Palm Desert home.

**we discovered how hot is hot. literally over 105 for 5 months straight. 105 was a good day.

**we got a break from the heat and went home for the annual whipple reunion for some much needed cousin time and for the first time mr. surprised me...i say first because it was the first time that mr. really got away with surprising me. i love surprises but i'm also a little nosey. so bravo to mr. for a total blindsided surprise. maybe one day i can pull one off myself.
